OCRO- Older Parent Carer Program
OCRO's Older parent carer program provides case management services, inclusive of future planning for parents 65 and over caring for their own disabled son/daughter or 45 years and over if indigenious. Grandparents and Kinship carers will be considered if they are the legal guardian. The program is funded by DADHC and is based within OCRO in Orange but covers from Lithgow to Lake Cargelligo. The Home Library Service is available to Orange residents who are unable to visit the Library due to infirmity, physical or sensory impairment or extended illness. This service provides a continuing library service for clients confined to home.
People applying to join the Home Library Service must provide a doctors certificate, or letter from a health care worker, stating that they are unable to personally visit the Orange City Library.
Volunteer couriers will be allocated to the clients who have no family member able to collect materials on their behalf. Staff will select material according to the client profile, however this may be altered as the client requests.
This allows clients continuing library service, access to all library materials and the companionship of books.

The library bus service provides transport and assistance for library clients who are unable to use regular transport systems to access the library. Restrictions apply- please talk to the staff. A regular bus service will collect you from your door and deliver you to the library and home again.
This service provides transport to and from the library, a social outing, independence, access to all the library’s resources and personal selection of library materials. Orange Lending Library
Founded in 1990, the Christian Lending Library is a not-denominational, non profit, charitable organisation with the goal of strengthening and supporting families and individuals and positive values within the community. They provide a huge range of videos, DVDs, CDs, audio tape sets and books free of charge for information and public education on issues of family well being.
Even though this is a Christian based service, they carry many items that are not "religious" but encouraging and educational as well as family friendly entertainment. There is a Storytime and Craft at 11am every Thursday during school terms. A Counselling service and Justice of Peace are also available.
Something good for all ages and everyone in this region is very welcome. Definitely worth a visit!

Led by the passion and commitment of its founders - Rosemary Sinclair AO and Christine Stewart - NAPCAN was founded in 1987 to establish lines of communication between government departments and agencies, professionals and community groups working in child protection.
This national community network was used as a channel to share educational material and to filter key issues onto a national agenda: to promote a national focus on the prevention of abuse and neglect of children; and to establish community advocacy for the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and to provide information about nurturing and protective parenting.
